Intrigued by the stamp plates by Konad, without wanting to pay the price, I tried these Salon Effects (an "As Seen on TV" thing I found a Walgreens). They worked nicely, and I had to add some bling to them :) Colors: Background- OPI:Pedal Faster Suzi (pink), and the burst things OPI:Eiffel for This Color (deep purple)

Ok, I didn't change my polish today. Those rainbow ones from yesterday deserved another day in my opinion :) These are a water marble I did just before Easter. OPI Shorts Story (pink), OPI Bling Dynasty (gold), and OPI Suzi Says Da! (maroon/brown). Figured I needed a post for today anyway....I keep a few in reserve for such days :) Have a great weekend!!!!

I saw someone else do this on the internet, so I can't take credit. But, I HAD to try it out :). List of polish: OPI for Sephora (pink)- What Aura Gonna Wear?, OPI (orange)- Pumped Up Pumpkin, OPI for Sephora (yellow)-Yellow My Name Is Betsey, OPI for Sephora (blue)- Too Too Turq, OPI for Sephora (purple)- Eve-y on the Eyes. After I sponge Ombre-d it (if you will), a coat of Seche Vite to smooth the surface. Then the water marble of simply OPI Black Onyx and OPI Bubble Bath (sheer beige...helped mask the edges of where the colors ran together) Then finished with another coat of Seche Vite. I really LOVE how they turned out. Hope you all do too :)

Seriously, the blurry is pissing me off. ANYHOO..... Just needed something to protect my nails today as to try and not break them off. China Glaze Fairy Dust has done the trick! Will hopefully have something more exciting tomorrow :)

I am not the biggest fan of a French Manicure. Although, it does looks pretty classy, it's just not my style usually. I bought these dried nail appliques from TKB Trading Co. They applied like a breeze, but it's been less than 12 hours and they are chipping off. Now, I did finish them with a coat of Seche Vite. That may be what they don't like, but a clear over it shouldn't have made their wear worse, right? (Side note, man, my nails are like talons right now!)

These Sally Hansen Salon Effects are called "Tat-too Much". I thought they were cute in the package, but they remind me too much of some Ed Hardy gear. (Of this, I am not a fan) But hey, if that's your thing, they fit right in. (I think I had these on for less than 24 hours)

These are an old pattern of Salon Effects by Sally Hansen. I think they are called "Don't Get Catty". I figured that I was at the beach and neon always make one look more tan :)

I know these are blurry. I really need to use a real camera. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, but I was in Mexico. (Everyone keep your jealousy to a minimum) These are the Sally Hansen Avril Levigne collection called "Headbanger". Now, being the Salon Effects whore that I am, I was not really pleased with these. The glitter ones tend to peel up on the edges and become really sharp. Maybe it's just me, but this has happened with a few of the glitters I have used. Still are really cute though :)

Hi All! Found these Hello Kitty bows at Target of all places and had to do a retro Sanrio color scheme. Blue is OPI for Sephora, Natural Environ-Mint, tips OPI Alpine Snow, and followed up with Seche Vite Top Coat. I feel very 1977...the year that Hello Kitty was launched.

Here is my polish today. I did sort of an ombre effect with the gold tips. Top one was in daylight, but you could not see the gradient of the gold. The second is actually under a street light on a park bench. But, for the lack of color in the dark one, it shows the sparkle much better. Colors used were OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window (green), then the Nicole by OPI in The Next CEO, and the bold glitter in an OLD bottle of OPI Thrills in Beverly Hills. Did I already post this? Hmmmm....

Also, any photos are my REAL nails....hence the varying lengths. I am a Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips WHORE. I am not ashamed to admit it. These are called Cut It Out.
This was my first French Manicure that I did on myself with gel polish. I used the Ulta line of gels Red Carpet Manicure...Black Stretch Limo and White Hot. I am very impatient and love to do my nails often, so for the polish to last 2 weeks RARELY happens. I get bored with it before it chips usually. :)
I think my nails were stubby here, but I digress. These are my abstract Shamrocks that I had for St. Patty's day. Water marbling (My newest obsession) with only OPI Fiercely Fiona and Ulta brand Jungle Love. Most of these posts will be a backlog starting today, but from here out should be all new. Be patient, little ones :)
A friend of mine bought a record (yes, I'm talking vinyl) that was blue marble. I was inspired. Colors used for water marbling...OPI Roadhouse Blues, OPI Fly (Nicki Minaj Collection), and OPI for Sephora Natural Environ-Mint. This was also my Easter design. I like to geek out my nails for holidays :)

This is one of my favorite pictures of my nails. The glitter I had was so thick and sparkly, then I used the OPI Red Shatter on top of Thrills In Beverly Hills (which is deemed as a top coat). The sun caught them so nicely :)
